Welcome to the Ottawa Acting Studio, where your acting journey begins! Whether you’re taking your first acting class, thinking of acting as a hobby or profession, or simply want to have fun and challenge yourself, our dedicated team of experienced instructors are here to guide you every step of the way. Located in the heart of the Glebe, our downtown studio offers acting classes in the perfect creative space to learn and enjoy.

All the World’s a Stage: The Shakespeare Showcase (GLEBE STUDIO)

Step into the world of Shakespeare and bring his words to life in this dynamic acting course designed for all levels! Whether you’re a seasoned performer or new to the Bard, this class will guide you through the fundamentals of performing Shakespeare with confidence, clarity, and creativity. Over the course of the program, students will explore selected monologues and scenes, learning essential techniques for understanding and delivering Shakespearean text. Through engaging exercises, character exploration, and vocal work, you’ll develop the tools needed to approach classical theatre with ease.

An Introduction to Acting for TV & Film (GLEBE STUDIO)

Ever wondered how you can get a part on TV or in a movie, and what would happen if you did? How does a set work? How can a day player fit in and feel confident? This class is designed and tested to give actors of all ages and abilities the understanding and skills required to deliver their performance on camera while developing solid scene study techniques. From audition to on-set execution, this class prepares you to do your best. 

Voice Acting & Vocal Performance (Ages 13 - 15)

Discover just how powerful your voice can be! Whether you dream of voicing animated characters, video game heroes, audiobooks, or creating your own characters, this fun and energetic course will help you explore the full range of your voice. Led by professional impressionist Steve Love (heard in major video games, commercials, and audiobooks), students will learn practical techniques used by working voice actors — in a supportive, creative environment designed just for teens.
